Eating Fes

If you're visiting to Fez then you are in for a very tasty vacation. The most convenient area is around Bab Boujloud, as it's mid-way between the Batha Museum and Bab al Makina and there is a wide choice of pavement cafes and restaurants.

#1 pick for street food. Thami's Restaurant - the best kept secret in the Medina.

#1 pick for a gourmet experience - Dar Roumana 30 Derb el Amer, Zkak Roumane in the Fez Medina, is open from Tuesday-Saturday from 18:30 for aperitifs, dinner service commences at 19:30, with last orders at 21:00. No reservations are taken, unless for six people or more. Three courses costs 300 dhs per person and two courses costs 250 dhs per person, exclusive of beverages and service.

Eating out in Fes! If you're visiting to Fez then you are in for a very tasty vacation.

The most convenient area is around Bab Boujloud, as it's mid-way between the Batha Museum and Bab al Makina and there is a wide choice of pavement cafes and restaurants. Restaurant Bouayyad is just inside the famous Blue Gate and is a good choice if the weather is very hot - there's air-conditioning inside. It serves the usual traditional fare, and the fish tagine is excellent. A tip: it also has good loos! The Kasbah is an institution in Fez, though the food isn't so great.
